4 Days Serengeti & Ngorongoro

This 4 day safari gives you a chance to explore two of Tanzania’s highlight safari destinations; Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The unspoiled Serengeti National Park is characterized with a hilly-rocky land in the north, valleys, forests and rivers in the west, and vast grasslands in the southeast giving a chance to see a variety of attractions. Ngorongoro amazes you with a large population of animals where you have an opportunity to see the Big Five on a single trip.

Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park You will have an early morning breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, meet your safari guide and set off at 6:30 a.m to Serengeti National park. The journey takes you via the stunning Karatu farmland as you proceed into the typical African wilderness. You will arrive in the central part of the park in the afternoon, have lunch and go for a game drive to see what the vast plains of Serengeti will offer. Drive to your lodge in the evening for a relaxation, dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Lunch and dinner Day 2: Serengeti National Park This day of the safari is allocated for a full day game drive around Serengeti National Park. As you head out for the game drive, you will move along with your packed lunch. The exploration of the park will give you a chance to see several animals including zebras, gazelles, wildebeests, and lions among others. The endless plains of the park are incredibly filled with wild animals and popularly known for cats. Meal plan: Full board Day 3: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Another early morning starting with breakfast and checking out of the lodge. You will go for one more game drive around Serengeti National Park and later proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will arrive in the afternoon, have a picnic lunch and a short game drive before retiring to the lodge. Ngorongoro is renowned for a variety of animal species which can be seen in big numbers. It is amazing how the Maasai people also graze in this conservation area alongside the wildlife. Meal plan: Full board Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater game drive and back to Arusha Have an early morning breakfast at your lodge, check out and drive to Ngorongoro Crater. This is one of the most popular places for game viewing in Africa because of its dense population of animals. It is home to the endangered black rhinos which can easily be spotted here. Other animal species you should expect to see while driving around the crater include zebras, giraffes, buffaloes and predators such as cheetahs, hyenas, jackals and lions. After the game drive, you will drive to Arusha and the drop off at the airport or place of residence will mark the end of the Tanzania safari.
