Meru National park is an amazing safari destination in strategically Kenya. This park is famous due to its historical wildlife story about lioness Elsa which was raised as a “Born Free” from fame animal though later it was released in the wilderness. This wild animal Lioness Elsa was raised and tamed by George and Joy Adamson, who later released the lion in the wilderness of Meru National Park in Kenya. This made Meru National Park popular especially with the book and film named “Born Free” from Fame based on the George and Joy Adamson’s efforts of hand-raising lion Elsa before letting it go to and adventure the wilderness. Although according to Kenya standards, Meru National Park is a small park with a diversity of wildlife.

Meru National Park is situated approximately 348 Kilometers away from Nairobi city, you drive through Nyeri and entering the park via Murera Gate while using a 4×4 safari car. If you want to use air transport, there are two bush airstrips which are close to Meru National Park like Kina and Elsa’s Kopje Airstrip where you land, join a road transfer in a few minutes connect to your booked lodge.

Encounter with the stunning rivers and riverine homes of various wildlife also get a chance to explore Adamson Falls. You get an opportunity to follow the footsteps of George and Joy Adamson.
